  • The available and/or required build-up and breakdown times; and
  • The length of the hire period.
27.2

Each application should be accompanied by a drawing in *.dwg format (AutoCAD) which accurately marks the position of the materials to be suspended and the position of the Stand in the hall or other part of the Convention Centre.

27.3

All desired suspension points should be marked on the drawing concerned, together with the (height) measurements in (centi)metres, weights in kilograms, on a scale of 1:100.

27.4

When suspending objects supplied by the Client, the Supplier shall assume that they are fitted with the correct, safe suspension and/or attachment fittings. If the Supplier must also arrange for the assembly/dismantling of the hanging object, the Supplier will, if possible, carry this out after the Client has confirmed in writing or by e-mail that he agrees to the price quoted by the Supplier.

Nor will the Supplier be liable for structures built by third parties for objects or for work carried out by the Client or third parties on the structure.

28.3

The applicable regulations under national and international legislation and standards apply to truss and rigging materials. The safety margin factor in the entertainment industry is 10, unlike the situation in manufacturing industry where the factor is 5.

28.4

If the Supplier rejects materials, this may result in the immediate discontinuation of the relevant work on the truss and rigging system.

28.5

Steel cables of 4 and 6 mm may be fitted only with self-locking Ver-lock termination grips consisting of specially designed wedge sockets with pin, in accordance with DIN 15315. The use of screwable U-shaped wire fasteners known as steel rope clamps is not permitted for hoisting equipment. Individual Ver-locks are obtainable. All other heavier hoisting equipment and loads should at least be fitted with wire rope slings having a diameter of 10 or 12 mm and Talurit pressed ferrules.

28.6

If third parties carry out the rigging work with the consent of the Supplier, the Supplier will always provide the desired suspension points. An accurate drawing of the truss and rigging system showing the point loads, dimensions in metres and scale 1:100, preferably in *.dwg format (AutoCAD), should have been received by the Supplier for assessment no later than 28 days before the first day of the relevant Event.

  1. Customization: an exclusive Wifi network is installed for the Client. The service is paid retrospectively, after the Event, and delivered exclusively to the Client via an exclusive W-Lan Network;
  2. Premium: The service is only available via the 5 Ghz frequency. The service is paid for prior to delivery and is exclusively delivered to the Client via an exclusive W-Lan Network;

The applicable service descriptions for the RAI Wifi services are displayed online in the Webshop.

42.2

In addition to the Webshop, the Premium RAI Wifi service in the Convention Centre is also offered in a portal that is accessible via a Connection. These Terms and Conditions do not apply to the purchase of the Premium RAI Wifi service via the relevant portal.

42.3

RAI may unilaterally change the technical properties of the RAI Wifi service, also during the Usage Period. A unilateral change will not lead to a material deterioration of the functionality of the RAI Wifi service. In the event of a change, RAI will adjust and publish the applicable service description(s).

42.4

RAI may unilaterally adjust the composition of the RAI Wifi service or discontinue it entirely without further notice if RAI considers this necessary to be able to comply with applicable legislation. The adjustment or discontinuation will be announced on the RAI website.

42.5

RAI does not guarantee that the Client will always be able to use the RAI Wifi service undisturbed or that the service always has a minimum quality level. For example, RAI cannot guarantee that the Client can always set up a VPN connection to the Client's own business network via the RAI Wifi service.

Article 43 - Customization Wifi service

43.1

The Customized RAI Wifi service is delivered by RAI to the Client by providing the Login Codes. The Client will perform an acceptance test within 48 hours of receipt of the Login Codes. The test is successful if the Client successfully accesses the RAI Wifi service via a Connection after entering the Login Codes in his Mobile Device. In the event of a successful test, upon expiry of the 48 hours without further notice to RAI or in the case of production use of the service by the Client, the RAI Wifi service is deemed to have been accepted by the Client.

43.2

If an acceptance test is not successful, RAI will check the Connection and possibly reinstall the exclusive WiFi network for the Client. After reinstalment, RAI will deliver the Customized RAI Wifi service to the Client for a second time. If the acceptance test is not successful even after renewed delivery, the Client may terminate the Agreement for the Customized RAI Wifi service free of charge. The dissolution takes place no later than before the start of the Event.

Article 44 - Use of the RAI Wifi service

44.1

The Client is obliged to use the RAI Wifi service in accordance with these Conditions.

44.2

The Client may only set up and use a Connection in combination with a Mobile Device that meets the applicable legal requirements for that Mobile Device. The consequences of the use of a Mobile Device that does not meet these requirements are at the expense and risk of the Client. Mobile Devices can differ in functionalities, which can have consequences for the usability and quality of the RAI Wifi service.

44.3

Client is responsible for the correct installation and configuration of the WiFi network functions in its Mobile Device. RAI does not guarantee that Wifi Access Points are always compatible with Client's Mobile Device.

44.4

Client will receive Login codes after payment for the RAI Wifi service. The Login codes provide access to the RAI Wifi service. The Client is obliged to keep these Login codes confidential and is liable for all use of the RAI Wifi service that is made with its Login codes. Only in the event Client purchases the Customized RAI Wifi service, the Client may provide Login codes to third parties (for example to stand visitors).

44.5

In case of an hourly Usage Period, clock hours apply from the moment the Login code is entered. With a Usage Period per day, the Usage Period is the time between midnight and midnight (24 hours in total). If the Login code is entered during the day, the Usage Period will expire per day at midnight.

44.6

Client may not misuse the RAI Wifi service. Misuse is in any case, but is not limited to:

  1. Selling or renting Login codes;
  2. Causing disruptions in or overloading the RAI Wifi service and/or the IP network of RAI and the Supplier or any other form of nuisance that restricts the use of the RAI Wifi service or the IP networks mentioned;
  3. The use of the RAI Wifi service to send unsolicited advertising messages via email or to send messages that can necessarily lead to a large number of responses (teasing or trolling) and therefore have a major influence on the availability of the RAI Wifi service and the IP network of the RAI and the Supplier;
  4. Using the RAI Wifi service to pass on information that is prohibited, illegal or illegal, is contrary to public order or morality or that infringes the rights of third parties, in particular intellectual property rights and privacy rights.
44.7

If traffic on the IP network of RAI or the Supplier is hindered by the use of the Client of the RAI Wifi service, the Client must follow the instructions of RAI aimed at removing that nuisance. RAI may suspend the provision of the RAI Wifi service to the Client without prior notice in the event of nuisance. If RAI or the Supplier suffers damage due to the nuisance, the Client is obliged to compensate RAI for that damage.

44.8

RAI may block, suspend or terminate the Client's access to the RAI Wifi service at any time in the following cases:

  1. Violation of these Terms and Conditions by the Client;
  2. Actions that could lead to RAI's liability;
  3. Violation of applicable laws and regulations.

Article 45 - Security

45.1

The Client must secure the Connection itself, for example by using a VPN connection. Without security applied by the Client, data traffic between the Mobile Device and the Wifi Access Point is exchanged unencrypted. RAI is not liable for the harmful consequences of any tapped unencrypted data traffic over a Connection.

45.2

RAI may filter or block IP traffic originating from a Connection by type or type of traffic (e.g. port 25 traffic) if this is necessary at RAI's discretion to ensure the stability and / or security of the RAI Wifi service, the IP network of RAI and / or the Supplier's IP network.

Article 46 - Quality, Maintenance and Faults

46.1

The Service uses a wireless network technology. The possibilities to establish a Connection and the quality and properties thereof will therefore not always and everywhere be good (equally) within the Convention Centre. The differences are related to, among other things, the Mobile Device used, the radio coverage of the Wifi Access Point, overloaded radio frequency bands, the amount of electronic communication traffic, etc.

46.2

RAI makes every effort to ensure that the provision of the RAI Wifi service runs as smoothly as possible. However, it is technically impossible to prevent any disruption or restriction of the provision of the RAI Wifi service.

46.3

Wifi Access Points are maintained by or on behalf of RAI. RAI can temporarily take a Wifi Access Point out of use for maintenance purposes. RAI will keep this to a minimum and, where possible, perform this outside the opening hours of the Convention Centre.

46.4

Faults will be investigated by or on behalf of RAI as soon as possible after they have been made known to RAI and resolved to the best of its ability. The costs of malfunction investigation and repair will be borne by RAI. These costs can be charged to the Client if the investigation shows that the cause of the malfunction is in the Mobile Device that is used or is the result of an action by the Client in contravention of these Conditions.

Article 47 - Protection of Personal Data

When performing the RAI Wifi service, RAI processes personal data in accordance with its privacy statement and applicable privacy legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation, the GDPR Implementation Act and the Telecommunications Act. RAI's privacy statement is published on the RAI website.

Article 48 - Liability of the Client

The Client indemnifies RAI against claims from third parties for compensation for damage that has arisen as a result of the Client's use of the RAI Wifi service.
